This piece of the Moon was blasted off the Lunar highlands in a large impact and found its way to Earth where it fell as a meteorite. This is only the secnd known Lunar meteorite outside of Antarctica.

This lunar rock is a feldspathic impact melt breccia with Mare basalt inclusions. It indirectly brought an end to meteorite hunting in Oman. This stone was found by Mike Farmer of Tucson. CNN did a story on him and his valuable find during the 2005 Tucson show. The sulten of Oman saw thie and realized many rare meteorites were leaving his country. He swiftly made it illegal to pick up any meteorites and put a few hunters in jail for awhile to make his point clear.
